Great mud-bowl game!  Despite having a moat in the center of our field we were able to defeat the Pixies 15-7.  We were lucky we got to play a full game.  The earlier games were either cut short or cancelled altogether. 

We didn't start out so hot, at one point being tied at fives.  However, after half we took it to 'em, barely allowing any points.  In the first half they pulled off some effective poaching and even scored by taking us deep.  When we started recognizing the poach and playing behind the speedy opponents things started to turn around. 

Carolyn had an almost-hit-me-in-the-back-of-the-head D and multiple layouts.  Born wore the skirt for making a crucial goal line hand block.  Jon worked hard all the way through the last point (during which it seemed he was the only one still running).  Heather put up some more solid play on both offense and defense, which earned her runner-up MVP.  Our long-time ORF comrade Born, who happened to be back in town long enough to join the game, received MVP honors.
