Woo woo!  We defeated Yep to put us in first place at the close of the regular season!

This third place team certainly didn't let it happen without a fight.  It was a cold, windy day, but we won the benefit of starting out downwind.  We traded downwind points for a while before scoring our first upwinder.  Unfortunately, they answered right back with one of their own.  It was a while before we scored our next upwinder, and again they immediately followed suit.  We took it to half 8-7.  Then, just after half (and just before we got kicked off our original field), Yep scored another upwinder and outscored us 3-1 before we had to move to the new field.  We scored an upwinder to tie it up right as it was getting dark enough to warrant a cap.  We agreed to a cap at 12 and then turned it on and scored the next two points, including one final upwinder to seal the deal at 12-10.

We did a good job putting out the right upwind and downwind lines.  DOB earned the skirt with a nice layout D that prevented a deep connection to their top guy.

Thanks goes out to Krissy, who helped us out greatly by subbing with us.  She earned runner-up MVP honors, while the MVP of the game went to Curtis.
