A huge free agent pickup for the fall of 2003. Coming in a package deal with Lindsay his signing was frowned upon by the already male-plenty roster. However, ORF’s chief scout vouched for his ability and asked that the team not pass judgment until his play could be seen, plus we really needed Lindsey. His mere appearance on the sideline quelled any suspicions held by the team.
A six-footer played like a seven-footer with movement so smooth it looks like BAL Leigh. A very comfortable handler with a quick trigger, capable of sending the disc the entire length of the field on a moment’s notice. Ted remains the only proficient handler at hitting anyone who attempts to “Shoot the Hole,” one of the most feared cuts on offense.
Though he only signed for one year, 2003’s dominant force in center field as well as the team’s local EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) is being heavily pressured to return. However, the free agent market seems to be blossoming for him, his height, skill, wife, and some kind of day job may force him to seek the big bucks playing for some West Conference Team with no salary cap.
